  1. This option works when EXE slideshow is launched under Windows XP. Or under Windows Vista/7/8 with classical graphical theme. It's intended for special creative tasks. You can run other applications over a window of your slideshow. I recommend to keep this option by default (unchecked).
  2. This information will be removed from future 8.0 at all. It's impossible to exactly calculate EXE file size. And it slows down work of PicturesToExe Deluxe.
  3. We stopped using UPX since v7.5 because of cases of false positives with antivirus software. You can manually pack your shows with UPX: Find PCExecutable.dat file in PicturesToExe's folder. Rename to PCExecutable.exe pack this file with UPX utility (download from http://upx.sourceforge.net/ and read the instruction) then put packed PCExecutable.exe back to PicturesToExe folder and rename to PCExecutable.dat
  4. Dave, Nice effect! I think we could prepare a pack of best transition effects for users with simple installation :)/>
  5. Thanks, Dave, for useful tutorial!

  7. Dave, I think it will be possible in v8.5 or so. We plan to rewrite the graphical engine.
  8. Dave, Thanks for the confirmation!

  10. Gerard, Please try this test version: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/27544810/pte/picturestoexe-setup-2012-02-27.exe Does it solve that problem?

  15. Hello Steven, Thank you for your idea and interesting thoughts! Please give me some time to reply you. Also let see what others will reply you. P.S. My nearest plans is to publish forum rules.
  16. Hello Dave, Thanks for a whole series of the excellent transition effects! P.S. Also thank you for your help with finding problems in the editor of custom effects!
  17. Thanks for the project files. It works correctly on my PC. However I noticed that "75th Anniv Soundtrack.wav" file in fact is a MP3 file. You need to rename this file to MP3. PicturesToExe was able to recognize this mistake and fix, but it could be a reason of that problem.
  18. Xaver, We hope to add asynchronous playback of a choosed track.
  19. Thanks, Dave!
  20. Dave, Do I understand rightly that it happens even if you don't open O&A, just start PTE with loaded project?
  21. Dave, Thanks for your patience! We're trying to find the solution. Please can you perform one more check: 1. Add this video clip, add a border in O&A. 2. You see the error message. OK. 3. Close the O&A editor and SAVE the project. Close PicturesToExe. 4. Restart PicturesToExe. 5. Open saved project and open O&A editor. Do you see any error message? 7. Try to resize video clip in the editor (zoom value). Do you see any problem here?
  22. Please can you reproduce this problem with a new project - just several images and WAV file(a)? If yes, please send me these files in ZIP archive. To upload ZIP file you can use Dropbox, or Mediafire.com free services. I'll try to see this problem and fix it. Thanks in advance!
  23. Colin, On my 5 year old PC (Intel Core 2 Duo) compilation of DVD takes around 1 minute for 1 minute of project. In other words, I wait 20 minutes to encode 20 minute show. Additionally I wait 2 minutes to burn DVD disc. Of course, If I encode FullHD video (output) I have to wait more time.
  24. Dave, wilburke, Please try new test version: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/27544810/pte/picturestoexe-setup-2013-02-13.exe Does it solve this problem?
  25. I'm glad to introduce German User Guide for PicturesToExe Deluxe 7.5. http://www.wnsoft.com/files/picturestoexe/user-guides/7.5/PicturesToExe_Handbuch_v75_DE.pdf It's a completely new book, 320 pages with illustrations. Thanks to our friend from Germany - Heinz Gebhardt!
