I sent a report to AVG developers yesterday for this false positive.
-
Future version 7.5 will introduce advanced audio editing (manipulations with tracks) on the main timeline in the main window. The timeline and the slide list will be reworked accordingly. It would be the main feature of the following version. User interface again will be improved, especially the Project options window, Slide properties window, a completely new window to choose transition effects. Now we're also re-writing code of the graphical engine to be able add new important features in following versions. We also often pay attention to existing features and improve them. Video, audio, user interface, effects, etc.

No problems with license keys anymore. 1. We send two emails with license key from two different servers located in different countries. 2. First email arrives instantly after purchasing. 3. New license keys have simple view like this: B7BUD-GY48P-PMIXJ-5RBES-BJEH2 Email servers or email programs will not damage this simple short license key. User can easily load this license key to PicturesToExe. 4. Also we respond to queries 7 days a week.

Please could you upload created executable file and source files of this project? We'll check up. You can use a free service www.mediafire.com to upload ZIP archive with files. Please let me know the download link in this topic or by private message. Thanks in advance!

I confirm this bug. We'll fix it in the nearest update 7.0.3
-
We hope to rework personal audio plalists of slides in the following version. Together with improved audio editing.
-
Thanks, Jill! We just fixed this bug for the following update 7.0.3.
-
Hello Eric, If a new major version (7.0.0) was published before a moment when your license key has expired, you can install all future minor updates (7.0.x) for free. For this reason you can use 7.0.2, 7.0.3, etc for free.

Anthony, Do you have custom icons for the executables which cause this problem with AVG?
-
Previous versions of PicturesToExe are placed on WnSoft website: http://www.wnsoft.com/picturestoexe/old-versions/
-
For example, IPS displays installed in Apple Cinema, iMac (2010/2011), iPad, iPhone 4/4S.
-
For this reason, I plan to buy only IPS displays. Probably there is a solution. Please check up settings of your monitor. Some advanced LCD displays have an option to speed up updating of pixels and reduce ghosting problem especially for text scrolling. But price of it - another pixel artefacts. A name of this option can be different, sometimes they call it "overdrive". And I alway turn off this option.
-
I reproduced this problem. It seems that Windows XP can not display icon for executable file larger than ~700 MB. And it does not matter, default icon or custom icon. Windows 7 displays correctly icon for same executable file. We tested even with 1.5 GB EXE file. Everything is OK.
-
Interesting idea. Thanks, Barry
-
Let start from beginning. If I understand rightly, Barry and Peter watch slideshow in executable format. Not as video file. Right?
-
Barry, Peter, I think Eric is right. Please try export slideshow as FullHD video in H.264 format and play in video player to compare with executable file.
-
Hi, Please send me sample video file. I'll check up. P.S. Right now we're migrating to a new version of ffmpeg library for better support video various video formats. It should solves problems with certain files. I'm expecting this change in version 7.1 or 7.5.
-
Robert, No changes for the timeline mode in version 7.0 or 7.0.1. It same as in 6.5
-
PicturesToExe Deluxe 7.0.1 is available now Download: http://www.wnsoft.com/files/picturestoexe/picturestoexe-setup.exe (12 MB) List of changes: + "Keep full slide duration" option has been moved to the main window of PicturesToExe and it's disabled by default. * Improved quality of video for iPad. * Fixed bugs with slide duration. * Fixed problem with the Objects and animation editor on some old Intel video cards. * Fixed freezing of the Project option window with Korean language. * Minor bug-fixes.

For all members. Thank you again for your contribution in discussion of this complex question! I'm afraid we are not able reach consensus, because each of two timing systems has own benefits and side effects. We prefer leave things as is according the latest version 7.0.1 Beta. I'd like to remind that by default version 7.0.1 will suggest users the old timing system. Existing users will not see any changes since version 6.5.

Jill, Please experiment with this project on your PC. Source files: http://www.wnsoft.com/files/test/timing-system/Video.zip (4 MB)
