Cannot Create Backup in ZIP, because of Duplicate File Names
Igor replied to jmG-06100's topic in General Discussion
Jose, The project may contains 2 different images with same file name in separate folder. PTE puts all files in one folder in a ZIP archive. So there are only 3 solutions: 1. Show warning (as now) and ZIP is not created. 2. Rename duplicated file names. 3. Create a ZIP with subfolder. Not easy solution, because original files can be added from different foldes on different drivers. This is why PTE adds all project files into flat folder for a ZIP archive. -
How bad accucary with trimming? Several framesm, milliseconds, seconds?
-
Gary, I still can't reproduce any problem with trimming and video converting. Every time a resulting file is OK, correct duration with audio. Do you use Hardware acceleration option?

Cannot Create Backup in ZIP, because of Duplicate File Names
Igor replied to jmG-06100's topic in General Discussion
Denis, It's only for a copy in a ZIP archive, not for files of original project. I think it better to create a ZIP archive than do nothing (now) in case of duplicating file names. Additionally PTE can create a ZIP and show a warning to inform user about duplicating file names. -
Auto-checking for updates, not working [SOLVED]
Igor replied to jmG-06100's topic in Troubleshooting
Hi, Auto update function checks the WnSoft website for a new version every 2 days to reduce server loading. -
Gary, Check new PTE 10.0.2. We fixed issue with freezing of a video converter when source and destination file names were same.
-
Solved in v10.0.2.

PTE AV Studio 10.0.2 is available Dowload: https://files.wnsoft.com/pteavstudio/pteavstudio-setup.exe Or use Auto Update feature: Main menu > Help > Check for Free Updates. Added support of video files as audio clips in a project without visible video clips in EXE shows. Fixed problem with remembering of parameters for an applied slide style when same style chosen again. Fixed problem with not always working Lock All Tracks command. Minor improvements in a video converter.

Thanks, I'll remove Slide number option from next update 10.0.2. It will be available only for status bar. You'll need to press Reset button to update your existing toolbar configuration to hide this deactivated option. New installation of PTE will appear without this option.

Thanks, Lin, for detailed explanation. Projects files of PTE 9 and 10 are mainly compatible (excluding slides with certain slide styles). You can create your project in PTE 10 and then open it in PTE 9 to build the executable show for macOS 10.14 Mojave or earlier (not for Catalina). You can use your existing license key from PTE 10 to activate PTE 9.0.22. Later when Mac version of PTE 10 is ready, you will able use PTE 10 for Mac shows.

Cannot Create Backup in ZIP, because of Duplicate File Names
Igor replied to jmG-06100's topic in General Discussion
I see this question with same file names raises periodically. So probably we'll solve this issue in future version. PTE will rename duplicating file names automatically. -
With Inherited opacity for child objects the result will be same like if you add several objects into a Mask container in PTE 10 and then adjust opacity of Mask container. It means one united alpha for all child objects.

Hi, We had no choice for this. Old executable player for Mac doesn't work on new macOS Catalina. I can offer you alternate solution for Macs with previous macOS 10.14 Mojave or earlier: 1. Create new projects in PTE 10. 2. Install PTE 9.0.22 using your existing key from PTE 10 or PTE 9. 3. Open your project created in PTE 10 in old PTE 9 and build a Mac show for macOS 10.14 Mojave. Projects in general are compatible between PTE 9 and PTE 10.

Of course, yes. It's the most important condition for this feature.

PTE AV Studio 10 - Lets Make a Slide Show
Igor replied to Barry Beckham's topic in Tutorials & Video Lessons
Hi Barry, I just watched your learning video and I must say that it's greatly and clearly explains how to use PTE AV Studio 10 to create a simple Audiovisual show. Thank you! Hope to see the next chapter about the Objects and animation editor! -
Jill, Yes, I understand and agree. I also want to add this feature soon. Just we had many internal discussions, how to better implement it. Alternate solution for all existing versions: using of a Mask container and control opacity of a Mask object for all embedded child objects. The most likely it will be an option for any object: "Inherit opacity for child objects".

Thanks, I'll fix it. We'll do it when multiple tracks with slides will be available in future version.

Hi, Sorry for my late response. I admit that not accurate trimming may be caused with certain source video formats and video decoders. In this case we can't fix it, only wait when it will be improved in updated version of video decoders. Did you observe this problem with trimming of MP4 source video files? Any conversion of a video file in PTE means certain loss in quality. I know that some good video converts allows you split/trim original video file without loss in quality, if you keep all original parameters. If even one parameter is changed or set incorrectly, video will be re-encoded completely. Usually I don't care about this problem for my personal tasks, because original video clips have large file size and high bitrate value, so I need to optimize them and also perform some corrections (trimming, etc). For all: Can you help me reproduce this problem using Dropbox download link above?

We plan to add possibility to add inherited opacity for child objects in future version. As an option.

Hi, Download and install latest version 9.0.22: https://files.wnsoft.com/picturestoexe/previous-versions/picturestoexe-setup-9022.exe This version is compatible with newest Windows 10 update.

Usually hardware DVD players manufactured at the end of golden age of DVD era can play DVDs recorded in PAL or NTSC standards. Probably first DVD players is locked to a national standard of a certain region. VideoBuilder in PTE automatically detects correct national DVD standard for your country and offer NTSC or PAL. We also recommend to create MP4 video for best picture quality.
