  1. HI Igor, yes it is a black flash, but seems slightly longer than 1 sec. I have reduced the size of the image to 142kb - it is 1920x1080 & the flash is still very visible. I would have thought that with the background set to the image it would show that rather than black. We are running a competition online this week & I have made a short 2 slide seq to act as a timer of 1 minute to show between each entry from my Menu. As there are 82 entries I need to play this 82 times. I did not want the black flash to show. I am using run slideshow with return. I cannot really include this 'timer' within the main Menu. Jill
  2. I am sure I have done this in the past without problems. I have an exe with 2 slides, the first slide has zero transition time, so should come up immediately. However a black slide is always shown, then the first image appears. I have set both Project Options & Slide Options to have the background the same as the first image, but I still get a Black. How do I get rid of the black. I need to get this working for an online show in a couple of days. Using the latest 10.0.11 Jill
  3. Denis, this was a fault which has now been fixed. Download the latest version 10.0.11 Jill
  4. Gary, on the first slide make the video a master video. Add a blank slide of a suitable shorter duration and then link the video to this. You will need to move this blank to the left in the main timeline to the point where you want to edit the opacity etc. If there is still more video after this, add another blank slide and again link the video. You will now have a shorter time duration, so it will be much easier to see the keyframes. You can add as many blank slides and link to the master video as needed to be able to edit the keyframes. You may need to adjust the durations of the blanks to get them to the position you need. Also if you work with two monitors then stretch the O and A window across both to give you a wider window. Jill
  5. At our AV group meetings we have sessions for work in progress. People can show their projects for constructive comments and help. They are very useful. I support the suggestion of a separate section for this purpose. Jill
  6. Hi Igor, I have tried on my laptop & it works OK - as it did before. I will try on my desktop, but may be later in the week. Jill
  7. It will be posted on the forum so keep checking. Jill
  8. Hi George, I use two Benq led monitors 16x9. Can't tell you the model number off hand, but very pleased with them. Got the second last year from Amazon when my old flat screen one failed. No sound though as I use. My hifi connected to the pc. Jill
  9. Yes, just drag to the position you want it. As you drag you can easily add another track, you will see a thick black line in between tracks. If you drop the clip there it will add another track. Jill
  10. You need to also put the modifier on the pan and rotate, even though you aren't using them. Doing it on all 3 pan, zoom and rotate seems to work. PTE Always has needed this whenever changing from linear. Jill
  11. Not at all. PTE is rigously tested by the community before each version goes live. I have been use PTE for over 15 years and highly recommend it. Jill
  12. have you got 'wait for keypress' on your first (blank) slide?? Does preview play in the mini window - main screen? Jill
  13. Right click on an audio point to remove it. The only way your sound clip would move by itself is if you are adding it as an audio comment, rather than just dragging it into the timeline. You normally only have one audio comment track. I have never had this problem, but I always add my sound by dragging it from the file list into the timeline. Jill
  14. Yes. Add an image or text object or button for each show you wish to run. In objects and animation, properties tab, select action on mouse click. Then from the drop down menu select run application or open file and navigate to your chosen show. If the show is made with the same version of PTE then you can select run slideshow. But it must be the same sub version, eg 10.0.10 Have a try in the trial version. You need to set the Menu slide to wait for keypress so that it will return to that slide when your show is finished. Jill
  15. You can easily make a Menu to run both MP4 and exe shows. But the Menu has to be an exe file. Jill
  16. I agree, keypoints for shadows would be much more user friendly. Jill
  17. Settings/Preferences/Toolbars make sure Change image/video file is ticked. Jill
  18. yes it is. You will not be disappointed if ypu purchase PTE10, it is an excellent program. Jill
  19. Do we need the button at all? I can't think of a situation where I would ever want/need to hide the key points. Jill
  20. The above shows the reasons why I never use Slide Styles or FSD - Total confusion !!! New users don't stand a chance Small point Gary but AB is actually the Transition Type not the Transition Duration. Jill
  21. Make sure you are in timeline view and not slide view. Jill
  22. In timeline view, Click on the centre of the slide you want to start from and drag it to the right. All the following slides should also move with it. Then use the cut transitions feature to bring them back left in time to your music. Jill
  23. If the preview is running then that screen should already have focus. If not then use Alt+Tab to quickly get to that window. I thought that only one PTE window could have focus. Unless that has changed, I only have one monitor at the moment so can't check. Jill
  24. you need to do File/Open then navigate to where Sequence 2 is in your computer folder/file list. Click Open and the slides for Sequence 2 will appear in the SlideList. The FileList will not change & you will need to navigate to the correct Folder within PTE to see the files(images) for that sequence. Jill
