  1. Yes it is! I don't think that it will work any other way.
  2. When you created the original exe file for Mac, did you create in Zip?
  3. Great News Igor! I appreciate the work that you have put into trying to solve this problem.
  4. I agree that there is far to much spam but, let's try to do something about before leaving an otherwise excellent forum! I am not an expert on preventing spam but there must be something we can do, surely.
  5. Carol, AVI are fine but, an MP4 file will produce a much better and higher resolution. Check the slide shows on my website: http://www.ronniewestphotography.com You might also like to read my tutorial on 'making your first slide show' that you will find on the Tutorial Page.
  6. Excellent example of a perfect voice recording! A very good idea as well Barry but, I wonder how many of us have the luxury of a walk in wardrobe?
  7. Thanks Igor, for your explanation and re-assurance. Ron.
  8. English translation please!
  9. High Carol, I can't offer any assistance with your problem I'm afraid, Lin has given such in depth adivice that I hope will help you. However, you are not the first person to have lost your project files it has happened to me in the past! To protect myself now, I always save my shows as an mp4 file (in addition to the project and backup in zip) and then copy the mp4 to a usb stick. I can then use this usb to connect to my TV. Ron
  10. Very many thanks to all those who have responded to my post Goddi, your experience with 'Mailwasher' is very interesting and I will be looking further into it after I have contacted GoDaddy. Thanks for the link. Ron.
  11. I read a post recently created by Goddi, where he mentioned that he reads emails on his server. Sounds like a good ides to me but, is it a private server or a national one? I might be an 'oldie' but I have never heard of this and would like to have some more information. For example, I am hosted by GoDaddy so am I able to read my emails from that server. Also, if an email is deleted from a server, does that prevent it from reaching my own personal email accounts? Ronnie West.
  12. You can't stop people from screen grabbing your images but, you can prevent those stolen images from being of much use to the thief by keeping the resolution and size down. Try saving your slide show images with the 'Save for Web' feature in Photoshop. Personally, if anyone wants to 'steal' my images, I would take that as a compliment! Ronnie West.
  13. Great link Dave but, perhaps you should point out that to get HD you have to pay a monthly subscription of about $5 (US) Ron.
  14. Depends on the quality of the recorded video of course. I have seen videos that ran for well over an hour and I reckon that most viewers would just stop watching after about 15 minutes. If you make PTE slide shows of the weddings you have shot, pick out the best bits, avoid over-use of transitions etc and then limit the length of the final video to no more than 20 minutes. Ron.
  15. Why not just create 3 slides of an image and place the title on the the centre image, then add all 3 to the timeline and fade them in/out as normal?
  16. Hi Peggy, There some basic tutorials for PTE Version 8 on my web site that you may like to take a look at. http://www.ronniewestphotography.com/ Ronnie West.
  17. This sounds very exciting but I am not brave enough to try it just yet Perhaps one of the more adventurous members (e.g. Lin) would have a go and let us know the results. Ron West
  18. Craig, great to hear that you have taken the time to give thanks to Dave and Lin for the help they have given. This forum is one of the best and it is a source of excellant training! Ron West.
  19. This is a great suggestion, I hope that the PTE Team will take note.
  20. PTE has lost a valued member who always had the time to help others. Over the years Maureen has given me excellent advice that has helped me so much. I will miss her! My thoughts are with Robert and the rest of the family. Rest in peace Maureen and may God bless you! Ronnie West.
  21. This sounds like a solution for slide shows created by the original user but, what about when a user has downloaded a slide show from another user? I will contact Barry Beckham and see what he can suggest. Barry has excellent slide shows that I have downloaded over some years now, they won't play in Mac Sierra now.
  22. Suddenly slide shows saved for a mac will not open on my iMac 27" running Sierra! Even the ones downloaded as Mac versions e.g. those from Barry Beckham web site. Always opened in the past. Any ideas?
  23. Jeff, I am not clear what your problem is but am sure that it can be sorted out. Perhaps you could explain in more detail what is causing this frustration. As Lin has said, it may not be a PTE problem. Ron West
