  1. Igor, what you propose for version 9 will be very welcome to most members of this forum. Thank You!
  2. Seems that version 9 of PTE will be of use with this problem so does anyone know when Version 9 will be realeased?
  3. google it! You may find something there.
  4. I assume that you have started your slide show with a blank black slide, in which case the simplest solution seems to be the removal of that black slide. Ron West.
  5. Hi Eric, When you say that you use a Macbook pro, I assume that you have installed some form of virtual machine, e.g. vvmWare Fusion or, are you using what comes with tthe mac? Ron West.
  6. I agree with goddi, the mp4 file will provide excellent replay and quality, especially when using the 'Free' VLC player. Download it on to your laptop and see for yourself. Ron West.
  7. I have used this program for many years now and can endorse all the previous comments about how good it is. Back in the day, it was considered to be the best software for creating slide shows but, it is now it is considered to be the very best for creating Audio Visual Slide Shows. You do not need to be a professional in order to create an excellent slide show although there is a learning curve to go through. If you do get confused, there are a multitude of willing experts on hand to assist you, you just need to join the Forum and ask. Ronnie West (South Wales UK) ronniewestphotography.com
  8. Hi Shirley, thanks for your thumbs up. I have neglected my website recently but am determined to get going on it again soon.
  9. I have updated my popular PDF tutorial called 'Making your first slide show with Pictures To Exe' The tutorial is in 3 parts and Parts 1 and 2 are now available from my web site http://www.ronniewestphotography.com It is free to all so, if you would like a copy, please visit my web site and follow the link on the 'Tutorials' page.
  10. OK guys, all is well now. I decided to do a System Reset of Windows 10 and this seemed to clear the initial problem but, it created a new one, i.e. I was only able to select from three display resolutions and this did not allow me to take advantage of the higher resolutions of the retina display of my iMac. I then discovered that I needed to re-install 'VMware Tools' in order to correct the new problem. Now everything is working OK. Cheers, Ron West.
  11. I did try Parallels a few years back and, while it performed well, I preferred to use the other well known virtual machine calles 'VMware Fusion' that I found to be a little easier to use. I am still waiting for Igor and his team to create an iMac version of PTE though because I think that this would be preferable to usung a virtual environment. Ron.
  12. "I am a Mac User" I know that PTE works well on a PC, my question is about VMware Fusion. As I stated previously, Everything worked well in Windows 8.1, it is only since I upgraded to Windows 10. I might consider doing a complete clean install of both Windows 10 and Vmware but, that seems a little extreme until I kn ow that it is just me having the problem. Ron.
  13. I am a Mac user and have installed VMware Fusion and run PTE in that, as a virtual machine. I have upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and now seem to be having problems running PTE. (it was perfect in Windows 8.1) It all started very well but I now find that the PTE program is running so slow it is tiresome. It could be a problem with VMware program or with Windows itself but I am quite sure that it is nothing to do with PTE. Is anybody else, who has upgraded to Windows 10, ecperiencing this problem?
  14. Yes I agree with the previous posts, Utube uploader within PTE has some issues and I have stopped using it also. It is important for me to be able to upload correctly because I use a 'Widget' to embed my slide shows from Utube into my web site. Therefore I use my Utube account to do the initial upload.
  15. Sounds like a good idea but, I am confused about what you are asking us to do. If I uninstall the current version and then install this beta version, without importing previous settings, will I then have to uninstall the beta version and re-install the current version of 8? Then where will my previous settings be?
  16. Hello Igor, Please change that link to, http://www.ronniewestphotography.com Nothing else will need to be changed Thank You, Ron West
  17. That did it Ken! Entering the full path, has now solved this. Thank You! Ron
  18. This seems to have been a problem for many of you guys and it was a problem for me also. I have solved it now though and perhaps the way I do it is not unique but, nobody has mentioned it so I thought I would add my two pennies worth to this debate. I use a program called 'TunesGo' and it works a treat for both videos (mp4) and music - via iTunes. I have written a step by step tutorial on the simple procedure and if you would like a copy please email me and I will send you a PDF. Ron West.
  19. Ray, That advice is what I hoped for. I have now tried a test show at 1440x1080 and it looks great! The retina display on the iPad really brings out the quality. Thanks for your help. Ron. http://ronniewestphotography.com/
  20. I ought to know the answer to this but, I don't so I need to ask the question. The screen resolution of my iPad Air2 is 2048 x 1536 and I want to create my MP4 videos to fill the iPad screen (clearly not a wide screen) What size and resolution should I crop my original images to? I know that PTE provides some options for older iPads but I have never used them so far. Any help would be appreciated. Ron West.
  21. Hi Eric, glad that you found the site OK (Yahoo must have some slow mice crawling around the net) Remember that this site is in its infancy and will obviously have bugs until I get my head aroung using Muse. At the momeny I have only just understood the slide show widget. Did you find that the shows played OK? I checked again this morning and you were quiote correct, the shows that only play at 72 were only uploaded with that resolution. In future I will pay attentikon and create at the higher resolution of 1080. Thank you for steering me in the right direction. Ron
  22. Ken Thanks for the easiest answer to my problem. Now solved. Ron.
  23. You may have solved my problem. Some of my uploaded slide shows are quite old and way back then I may well have uploaded incorrectly (at the wrong settings when creating the mp4 video. I will check tomorrow and see what I did and, if needed, I will recreate the slide show and upload at 1080. Thanks for the thumbs up. I don't understand why you cannot access my site (ronniewestphotography.com) Have you tried entering a search in Google? Ron.
  24. How do you add a hyperlink to a web site in a message posting?
  25. I am attempting to create a new web site using Adobe Muse but am having some problems with uploading slide shows to Utube in full HD. I created the mp4 file in Pictures To Exe an usual and then uploaded to Utube. They all played good at the 72 HD setting but, only a couple played at the highter 1080 HD. Why is this, does anyone know the answer? You can see what I mean by taking a look at my draft site at http://ronniewestphotography.com/ just click select the menu item for 'Slideshows' Cheers, Ron.
